Whenever you want to research ways to make money online, you can be sure that you will be bombarded with various “experts” who will tell you how it’s done.  In fact, there are even more gurus or experts who are very happy to sell you their latest e-book or course.

I don’t know about you, but I have fallen fowl of these courses and e-books many times over.  I have spent thousands of dollars on them and know that many of them are just recycled material, or loose “methods” that don’t really live up to the sales pitch.  In this particular post, I’m not going to delve into the reasons and problems with these courses but a more fundamental question which is:  Who can you trust in the world of make money online.

More specifically, can you trust the gurus who are in it to sell to you?  They give you advice and advise you to buy a product from them that is supposed to solve your problem.  So can you really trust what they are advising you?

This is one those areas that require you to make a judgement call.

I learn’t the hard way listening to lots of different marketers, buying their products, wasting alot of time and money.  I did finally find out the ones to trust and ones that were worth listening to, but this was doing it the long way round.  Three years long in fact.

All marketers want you to trust them in order that you will spend money on what they offer.  However convincing they may sound, these are some tips on how you can judge whether they are trustworthy or not.  This is not an exhaustive list, but can give you a head start.

1)  Are you reading their site on their PPC link?  i.e. the paid listing on the top and side bar of google pages?  If so, this person is paying to be listed.  What are the chances they are wanting you to buy something from them?  In which case how does it affect their bias?

2)  Does what they say seem too good to be true?  Does it seem a bit too hypey?  If so, trust your inner voice.  There’s no such thing as a free lunch.

3)  Can you understand the concepts and ideas they are explaing or selling?  If you can’t and it seems to be a bit mysterious, why is that?  If you don’t get it, can you trust it?

You have to be sharp and keep your wits as there are alot of scammers out there.  Keep safe, know the real ways to make money online.  Know who to trust.  Read the free report here.
